Discussion Starters
Monday—What is God’s holiness? Why do you think the angels in heaven announce God’s holiness three times?
Tuesday—What did the enormous catch of fish tell Simon (Peter) about who Jesus is? How do you think you would respond if you came face to face with your Maker?
Wednesday—Why does Peter urge Jesus to get away from him? Why is this such a scary thing to say?
Thursday—What does it mean that Simon (Peter) and the others will be catching men? What made Jesus think they would be useful in his plans?
Friday—Verse 16 says that Jesus went to a desolate place (literally, the wilderness). Why is this so significant after healing the leper? What is the cost Jesus must pay to make us clean?
