  • The Way of Forgiveness (1:8-10)

Discussion Starters

Monday—Do you ever lie to yourself? How? What do you typically try to convince yourself of? Why would anyone lie to themself?

Tuesday—Why do we turn on lights? What does light do? What does it mean that God is light? Why does this scare us?

Wednesday—What is a propitiation or atoning sacrifice? How does it work? What does it mean that Jesus is ours?

Thursday—Why does admitting or confessing our sins scare us? Why is it the only way forgiveness? Do you need to come and confess sin to God?

Friday—Does God’s offer of forgiveness sometimes sound too good to be true? How do you know it’s true? How do you know God won’t change his mind?
