Depth (Psalm 92)

DEPTH (PSALM 92)

If we are to weather life’s storms, we must possess depth, which is cultivated in worship.

  • Shallow People in a Shallow World (vv. 1-7)

  • The God Who is Deep (vv. 5-9)

  • We Grow Deep Roots in Worship (vv. 10-15)

Discussion Starters

Monday—Have you know anyone that you would consider deep, unshakable, immovable? Who? How do you think he or she become like that?

Tuesday—How can someone say that, in the midst of more and more information, people are increasingly shallow? Do you agree or disagree? Why?

Wednesday—Why are we attracted to those who rise to prominence or success quickly? What is the danger with these stories? (vv. 6-7)

Thursday—What does it mean that God’s thoughts are deep? (v. 5) How does this related to him being “on high forever”? (v. 8) How is this instructive for us?

Friday—How does God cultivate depth within his people? What do you need more of in your life? What are some things you might need to cut out and some things you might need to add to your life?
