Discussion Starters

Monday—Do you ever find yourself doing image maintenance—presenting an image of yourself that you want to be true? Why? What drives this?

Tuesday—What’s the difference between arrogance and confidence? What drives people to look down on others and treat them with contempt? What does this tell us about the Pharisee?

Wednesday—Why does the tax-collector stand far off with his eyes down? Do you ever feel like that? Why?

Thursday—What does it mean to receive the kingdom like a child? Why is it hard to become childlike?

Friday—What does 1 Corinthians means when it says, “if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged”? Is this a scary or comforting thought?
