49 - The Eyes of Faith

The Eyes of Faith

Luke 18:35-43 | 2 Samuel 7:1-13

Recognizing Jesus is a matter of faith, not sight.

  1. WHAT THE CROWD SAW (VV. 35-39)

  2. WHAT THE BLIND BEGGAR SAW (VV. 39-41)

  3. THE EYES OF FAITH (VV. 42-43)

Discussion Starters

Monday—Why does the crowd call Jesus “the Nazarene”? What does that tell you about how they see him and what they want from him?

Tuesday—Why does the blind beggar call Jesus “Son of David”? What does that tell you about how he sees him and what he wants from him? What else does he call Jesus? (v. 41)

Wednesday—What is faith? Can faith exist where God’s word is not known?

Thursday—What does it mean to walk by faith, not by sight? (2 Corinthians 5:7) Why is this so hard? Are you alone in your struggles to do this?

Friday—What has God given you to help you see with the eyes of faith? What can you do to make better use of these gifts?
