Discussion Starters

Monday—Why is it a lie to say that being a Christian doesn’t require a changed life? Why can’t you be a Christian if there is no change in your heart or life?

Tuesday—What are the things of the world? Why does being a Christian change your affections toward them? Are there areas that you need to pray for God to change your heart toward the pleasures of this world?

Wednesday—What is old about John’s commandment? What is new about it? Do you struggle to love those who mistreat you? Why? What do you think would help you have Jesus’ heart toward them?

Thursday—If you still sin, is that proof that you are not a Christian? What is John saying when he talks about Christians living like Jesus lived?

Friday—Are all Christians equally mature in their faith? What are some things that God has given you to help you grow in your faith? Are you making use of these?
